Key On Engine Off On Demand Self-Test

Hi. I am having trouble running the KOEO self test. It reaches 6% and I can hear some fans whirring around but then it halts and gives me an error code:

(OK) [20:37:51.004] Key On Engine Off On Demand Self-Test has been started
(ERR) [20:37:54.228] Test is interrupted, please contact developers

Its a Ford Fiesta 1.4 Tdci 2007

I have no real reason to run the test, though I'm wondering if the reason why it halts is due to the problem I'm having with the car at the moment. (===PCM DTC P0204-70===
Code: P0204 - Injector 4 circuit fault)

Does the KOEO run an injector test? Does anyone know why the test might be failing when it reaches 6%..

One more question.. Forscan shows the model date as 2006 though its an 07' - why?

Thanks!

Also.. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix my cylinder#4 problem that would be greatly appreciated. A garage already replaced the injector and it made no difference. Car runs very very rough/stuttering cold idle/has no power/flashes powertrain warning lamp.

Please email us internal FORScan logs (instruction is on Contact Us page). We think it is not because of the injector problem. There can be several reason, not possible to find out w/o logs.

Current versions of FORScan show model year, not actual year when the vehicle was built. 2006 is model year of this model according to Ford.

Was the injector circuit (contact and wire from injector) checked?

Thanks for the logs, as answered by email:

Your problem is in adapter, your one is counterfeit ELM327 v2.1, this problem is discussed on our forum:

http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22

It is some kind of miracle FORScan is able to connect and read DTC. Please try v2.2.0, it has some improvements in support of ELM327 china clones, may work better with 2.1 too (we had no chance to check it yet).

Hi, FORScan. Do you by any chance know which cylinder, cylinder #4 is from looking at the engine from the front of the car? (2007 1.4 tdci fiesta)

I thought it was 1,2,3,4.
The garage replaced the far right cylinder injector.. but I just read elsewhere that cyl#4 is at the crank pulley end of the engine.. which is the first cylinder ? :|

Sorry, we have no this information, Fiesta Mk6 1.6 TDCi and Fiesta Mk7 1.4 TDCi have this order:

We recommend to refer to the workshop manual/Ford ETIS.

ducamie wrote:Another question also, sorry. Do you know if the injectors need to be coded on this car? Thanks.

As as we know, injectors are NOT coded on Fiesta Mk6 1.4 TDCi, in contrast to Fiesta Mk6 1.6 TDCi and Fiesta Mk7.
